DE: Der Vulkanweg ist der Hauptwanderweg 13 des Eifelvereins und ist mit einem V als Wanderzeichen gekennzeichnet. Er startet in Andernach am Rhein und führt abwechslungsreich durch die Vulkanlandschaft nach Gerolstein.
Die Gesamtlänge beträgt ca. 163 km, das entspricht ca. acht Tagesetappen. Die vom Eifelverein empfohlenen Wanderkarten sind:

Das Wandergebiet im Laacher Seegebiet ist gekennzeichnet von der Vulkantätigkeit, die vor 1 Million Jahren einsetzte und bis zum Ende der Eiszeit dauerte. Noch 9000 v.Chr. floss Asche, Lava und Schlamm durch das Brohltal und bildete eine 6o Meter hohe Tuff-Ablagerung.
