Many unknown graves are interred within this inactive cemetery. Each unknown grave contains the word 'UNKNOWN' etched onto a metal plate that is screwed on a concrete base. The unknown graves are scattered throughout the cemetery property.
This cemetery is home to Elias Anderson, for whom the city of Anderson is named after, along with his wife, Elizabeth, and their son E. Fleming Anderson.
