The plaque at the site of the former Surf Club is set in the middle of the dual-use path along West Coast Dr, all that remains of the building are a few remnant walls in among the vegetation.
The wording on the plaque reads:-
"This was once the site of the North Beach Surf Club, which opened in 1931. It was the home of the North Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and in it's early it was the scene of many Saturday nght dances"
