"Bei dem Dr.-Niessen-Haus an der Poststraße 30 in Bad Neuenahr handelt es sich im ein Haus aus der Blütezeit des Kurbades. Im Jahr 1894 erbaut, hat es über eine der schönsten Fassaden, die aus dieser Zeit noch erhalten sind. Der Erbauer, Sanitätsrat Dr. Wilhelm Niessen, ließ den Bau des Renaissance-Hauses mit dem italienischen Flair einst von den Kölner Architekten Schreiterer und Below für 122.000 Goldmark bauen. Bei dem unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Haus handelt es sich um die nahezu identische Kopie eines Hauses am Gardasee in Italien. Die Parterrefront besteht aus rotem Sandstein. Die Eingangstür aus Eichenholz ist heute noch original erhalten. „Quisisana“ steht in lateinischer Sprache über der Tür, was soviel heißt wie: „Hier wird man geheilt.“ Das erste Obergeschoss verfügt über einen Balkon mit einem kunstvollen schmiedeeisernen Geländer. Er wird von Naturstein-Konsolen getragen und gibt dem Haus eine besonders elegante Note. Das zweite Obergeschoss verfügt über eine von vier Pfeilern gestützte Loggia. Das Dach hat Gauben mit kleinen Türmchen. Die Wände im Inneren des Gebäudes sind im neogotischen Stil getäfelt und die Decken im Renaissance-Stil. Darunter hängen Jugenstil-Kronleuchter. Die Obergeschosse werden für Wohnzwecke genutzt. Das Untergeschoss wurde von der Anwaltssozietät des Besitzers Bernd-Uwe Gallrein genutzt."
