Pearl Copeland's headstone is a thick tree stump with squared sides. It stands upon four horizontal logs, and has a calla lily engraved at the base. Beneath a Woodmen Circle seal, the inscription inscribed on a shield reads:

mother
The sad story you learn from this headstone, and the baby's headstone next to it, is that Pearl died only 13 days after her baby, Harden, was born. And Harden lived only six months. Life was hard back then.
