In Waltham, along Main Street, is the local branch of the U.S. Post Office., which was built in 1935 according to its cornerstone.

The building is on the south side of the road, by Grant Street. It is made of brick with white trim. The entrance is in the center, facing Main Street. The cornerstone is to the left of the entrance at the corner a little above ground level.

The cornerstone is a granite stone block with the following text:

Secretary of the Treasury

Postmaster General

Louis a Simon
Supervising Architect

Neal A Melick
Supervising Engineer

Wadsworth Hubbard and Smith

1935"
