"Torrey Pines State Beach
Torrey Pines State Beach runs for three miles between Carmel Valley Road and the Glider Port at Torrey Pines Scenic Drive. The beach here is well covered by sand, with few exposed rocks, readily passable at all but the highest tides. There is also access from above via two challenging hiking trails – one in the State Park and another beginning at the Glider Port."

Operating Hours
Reserve:

7:15 AM to sunset, 365 days a year. The Reserve closes near sunset.
Sunset varies from 5 PM in the winter to 8 PM in the summer.

Exact closing time of the day is posted at the South Beach parking entrance.
All vehicles must exit the Reserve by closing time each day.

Visitor Center (the Lodge):

9 AM to 6 PM during summer daylight saving time,
and 10 AM to 4 PM during winter standard time.

Guided Walks:

Free public guided walks for families and small groups are on weekends and holidays at 10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM. Meet at the entrance of the Visitor Center.

Restrooms
Restrooms are available at the beach parking lots and at the west parking lot in the upper Reserve. There are no restrooms in the Visitor Center. There are no restrooms on the trails.

Parking Lots
Lots are located at the South Beach entrance and at North Beach. Two small lots are on the mesa near the Lodge. The road up the hill is often closed to cars when these small lots are filled, especially on weekends. Also, the South Beach lot itself may close when full. There is now a flashing light above the kiosk to indicate when that lot is closed. Info sheet on light here.

Parking/Entrance Fee
There is a facility use fee for any vehicle entering Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. The fee collection is operated by a concessionaire, LAZ.

Fees paid at the South Beach kiosk are valid for both the South Beach parking lot and the parking lots in the Reserve at the top of the mesa. A separate fee structure applies at the North Beach parking lot. Day use passes or camping receipts from other state parks are not accepted for admission to Torrey Pines lots.

South Beach parking entrance:

$10-12 Monday-Thursday; $12-15 Friday-Sunday and Holidays
(Low-high season; major holidays may have an additional fee.)

If there is no staff person in the kiosk at the park entrance, the parking fee must be paid at the Automated Pay Machine located in the South Beach parking lot.

Bus with 10-24 people: $50 all days
Bus with 25+ people: $100 all days (Groups of 25 or more must make arrangements in advance.)

Hourly rates are available at North Beach lot ONLY:
Monday-Thursday, 1 hr $4.00; 2 hrs $6.00; all day $12
Friday -Sunday and holidays, 1 hr $6.00; 2 hrs $8.00, 3 hrs $10, 4 hrs $12; all day $15.

Note: Recreational vehicles longer than a standard parking spot are allowed only in the North Beach lot.

Annual pass: $195 (valid throughout the State Parks system). Annual Passes are for sale at the South Beach entrance station (kiosk) daily from 8:30 am to 5 pm. They will accept cash and credit cards (VISA, MC, Discover, and AMEX). No checks will be accepted. Also, available online: State Park Online Payment

The Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) is accepted at Torrey Pines.

The DDP fee is one-half of the day use flat fee in effect. For example. if the daily fee is $12, then the DDP fee is $6. The DDP card must be displayed on the vehicle dash along with the fee receipt. DDP fees may be paid at the kiosk or the automated pay station. If you are disabled and would like to obtain a DDP go to State Parks website at parks.ca.gov and submit an application as directed."
