Second courthouse for the county. First one was in Upland. County seat moved here in 1925.

In 1958 Leonard F. Crockett & Associates remodeled and built a courthouse addition which was erected on the west side of the original courthouse. The 1926 building's front façade, including the door, was removed and new windows installed.
