This abstract stainless steel sculpture is one of several pieces in the Marcy Sculpture Garden in San Diego's Balboa Park. The piece displays a post bearing a smaller piece of a bar on one side near it's top. Atop the post is a square figure sitting vertically on one of it's corners.
The artist David Smith (1906-1965) was an American abstract expressionist sculptor. This piece is one of 27 similar pieces in his Cubi series.
