The small village of Cressbrook is in Derbyshire in the Peak District National Park.

The bridge carries a minor road over the river and is little used as it was originally built for an access road to a quarry.
RIVER GAUGE INFORMATION:
The River Wye is reasonably wide at this point and not usually deep, so the gauge only measures to a depth of 1 metre. It is also in an area of limestone and runs in a valley with quite steep sides. The gauge is divided into tenths of a metre. The website listed below shows a map of potential flood sites in the area, a narrow band of land on either side of the river.
