A wood carving of an acoustic guitar is carved from the trunk of what was a large tree the near Court of Honor Stage and the north entrance to the Coliseum. The 8' high sculpture was created by K.F. Packie in October 2015.
An 8' high guitar rises from a 2' high stump which includes seating on the north and south sides. On the front, shoots and leaves decorate the bottom of the guitar. The back has even more elaborate carvings of shoots and leaves that reach halfway up the back of the guitar. Among the roots of the tree are carvings of a rabbit, bear cub, turtle, squirrel and an owls. It is here that it is signed and dated by the artist.
