The sandstone cross located just at the entrance to St Giles (Sv. l Jiljí) Church in small town Železnice near Jicín comes, according th the plaque attached at front part of its pedestal, from 1886 and it was donated by Františka and Teresie Jirankova from Železnice "to the glory and praise of God". About 4 meters high cross consists of the pedestal with the above mentioned plaque and with another plaque with a engraved prayer. On the pedestatl a typical Latin cross with the Crucified Jesus is attached and above it there is a small arched roof.
