In Waltham, at a corner of Waltham Common, is this painted switch box that features a steampunk theme.
The utility box is located at the corner of Carter Street and Moody Street, at the south west corner of the common.
The box features something different on every side. On the side facing the road is a part of a toothed gear near the bottom and the words, "Waltham Steampunk City." On a side is an abstract composition that has gears, watch hands, and other forms. On the back side toward the common, is a rendering of a woman in steampunk costume by a watch on a chain and (I think) a gear. On the other side is another abstract design. The top is a design that suggests corset lacing.
I didn't see any marks indicating the year or the artist.
