Fauna spirit is a bronze sculpture by Honolulu artist Barbara Kamille. It depicts a deer resting on a large leaf with its eyes closed, at the quiet Hilton Hawaiian Village's courtyard garden.
The plaque reads:
"Fauna Spirit" / Original Limited Edition / Sculpture by KaMille / Deer were introduced to the Kingdom of Hawaii as a gift to King Kamehameha V in 1868. Herds of wild deer still exist on many of the islands of Hawaii."
