The Wilhelm-Koch-Hütte was renewed in 1995 by the "Hessisch-Waldeckischer-Gebirgs-und-Heimat-Verein" HWGHV and give hikers shelter of weather and wind.

It is situated in the dense city forest of Hofgeismar between the Heuberg Hill and the Arensberg hill. Many hiking pathes crosses at this point.
