This is a beautifully shaded campground, provided by the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and is just perfect for lake lovers. There are several levels of primitiveness, from no hookup sites for tents through full hookups for RVs. Regardless, everyone has access to the bathrooms and showers. There is a dump station and other conveniences. Even the most primitive sites have a fire ring, a well-constructed picnic table, and good level ground.
The prices vary depending on what you want. I have quoted $20 in the variables below, and that was the current price for just electrical hookup. It is less for no hookups and more for water and sewer.
Other amenities include:
- a playground for the kiddies
- marina
- a huge array of boat slips for the avid boater
- a public boat ramp
- volleyball court
- swimming
- scuba diving
- hiking
- ranger station
and more. Check out the link above for prices and availability.
