Unlike most of the many dedicated benches in this cemetery, this bench has inscriptions on both the top of the seat block (where you place your posterior) and on the side of the seat block. Logically, the inscription on the side was made first, when the seat was first placed, and states simply:

In Loving Memory of Calvin (Cab) Stockton

Cab lived from 1906 to 1987. Later, when his wife Ancil Marie "Mammie" Fields Stockton (1922 to 2007) passed away, the children had the top of the seat block inscribed:

In loving memory
of our parents
Cab & Ancil Stockton
All our love,
Silva and Ruth
