Celui que l'on nommait "le Père la Musique" était Louis Guerton (1777-1870), violoniste qui a bâti sa réputation au cours des fêtes populaires.

Entre 1859 et 1869, Louis Guerton a gravé au burin sur de nombreuses roches, l'histoire de Ballancourt et de la France. Les Roches du Père La Musique, récemment acquises par la commune de Ballancourt-sur-Essonne, constituent un témoignage étonnant.

Extraits : " Il ne manque plus à Paris qu'une pyramide deux fois plus haute que celles d'Egypte avec une lumière dessus qui éclaireait la capitale et les campagne et que l'on verrait des montagnes d'Espagne " Idé du père Guerton et gravé parre lui -1868-

Pour s'y rendre : Les Roches se trouvent à proximité immédiate du GR11 qui part en direction de Champcueil. Rue Louis Guerton, traverser la RD191 et suivre le chemin qui traverse la plaine. Au croisement, prendre à gauche jusqu'à l'orée du bois ou il faut à nouveau tourner à gauche. Suivre le sentier jusqu'aux roches."

(EN) "That which is called "the Father of Music" was Guerton Louis (1777-1870), a violinist who built his reputation over the popular festivals.

 
Between 1859 and 1869 Louis Guerton etched engraving on many rocks, the history of Ballancourt and France. The Rocks Father Music, recently acquired by the town of Ballancourt-sur-Essonne, are an amazing testimony.

Directions: Les Roches are close to the GR11 that goes towards Champcueil. St. Louis Guerton, cross the RD191 and follow the path that crosses the plain. At the junction, turn left to the edge of the woods or we must again turn left. Follow the trail to the rocks.
