Beyond the obvious fact that the branch organizes the local Remembrance Day activities each year, there is precious little information on Branch #89. In 2016 the Lake Country ceremony was held in the George Elliot Secondary School, 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road.
The building in which it is housed is a large, two storey concrete block building, of which it occupies what appears to be the rear third of the lower floor. Upstairs is a large community meeting room, while in the front of the building is the Oyama Community Club.
