EN: The cemetery of Hauenstein-Ifenthal is located in the churchyard of St. Catherine, east of Ifenthal.
The cemetery is on the south side of the church, just above the slope that offers a beautiful view down to the Aare valley.
There are not quite 100 graves at the site that looks like artificially heaped.
At this location, there was a chapel since the mid-13th century, the church was built in 1674. I do not know when the cemetery was established.
DE: Der Friedhof von Hauenstein-Ifenthal befindet sich im Kirchhof der Kirche St. Katharina östlich von Ifenthal.
Der Friedhof ist an der Südseite der Kirche, gleich über dem Abhang der einen schönen Ausblick ins Aaretal hinunter bietet.
Es befinden sich nicht ganz 100 Gräber auf dem Gelände, das aussieht wie künstlich aufgeschüttet.
An dieser Stelle befand sich ab der Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts eine Kapelle, die Kirche wurde 1674 gebaut. Wann der Friedhof gegründet wurde, weiss ich nicht.
