Walker Park is a small plaza built around a fountain, with an abstract sculpture at its center. There is also an ornate gate, and an old cannon.
The fountain dates from 1972. The central sculpture Puna by Hawaii sculptor Sean Browne, was added in 1991 in memory of Una Craig Walker, wife of the park's namesake.
The plaque in memory of Una Craig Walker, wife of H. Alexander Walker Sr., has been placed in front of the fountain facing her husband's memorial.
The plaque reads:
"He Hoomanao / (in memory of) / Una Craig Walker / 1887 1987 / Mrs Walker was wife and mother to two Amfac presidents, H. Alexander Walker and Henry A. Walker Jr., and herself a woman of renown. She campaigned vigorously for Honolulu's cultural development. Her gardens and her hospitality were famous as was her zest for life. Her descendants called her Puna, derived from kupuna, the Hawaiian word for grandparent. Puna also means spring, the waters that sustain all life. So, in this fountain setting, Sean Browne has created a sculpture in Mrs. Walker's memory. His inspiration was the Poi Pounder, also a source of life for early Hawaiians. He calls the sculpture Puna. / Dedicated December 17, 1991"
