There is no placard providing information about this particular bell but a sign nearby explains the various purposes for bells at the Mission....sunrise mass, lunch, 6 pm prayers, 8 pm prayers and preparation for sleep.
This bell is a attached to a short wooden structure and can be rung by swinging it back and forth.
