The "Vierthaler-Teich-Gelände" creates a green link from Maschsee to Eilenriede so that walkers and cyclists can reach the Eilenriede on continuous paths through green areas.
In the middle of this terrain is a high terrace with beautiful old oak trees. On this terrace is a small square with the Arthur-Menge Fountain. This fountain was created 1965 by sculptor Ludwig Vierthaler.
