This is a triangulation station on top of Quanah Peak. It lies right on the border of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and Fort Sill Military Reservation. There is a southern boundary road on the WMWR side that can be traveled to the base. It is a climb from there. there are two reference marks nearby on other boulders. The azimuth mark has been destroyed with the newer roads built.
Be aware this is an open range where buffalo, longhorn, and elk roam freely.
Condition: Mark found in good condition
