On the south side of the church lies the oldest part of the graveyard, with many old headstones, the WWI monument and a grade II listed chest tomb. Many of the Swithland slate headstones are intricately carved with 'Belvoir Angels' dating back to the 18th century. Some have raised lettering and winged cherub faces. The angel's head and wings were believed to represent the deceased's soul flying to heaven.
The north side of the church graveyard is the more modern part.
