"The Little Free Library project, for children and adults, provide small waterproof boxes on posts resembling one-room schoolhouses. Boxes are located in Whitney Point and Lisle, and more are planned.
Students from the Whitney Point advanced Technology program, and Tioughnioga Riverside Academy have volunteered to assist on the project, designing, building, painting and decorating five boxes through funding provided by the Binghamton Area Reading Council (BARC), the release states.
A $500 donation from the Tioughnioga Riverside Academy’s student council and donations from community members, have allowed boxes to be well-stocked with new books."
