I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1943 in good condition. The datasheet info is adequate for station recovery with the exception that the Chiloquin railroad station no longer exists and the boulder no longer has the letters 'BM' spraypainted on the south side. The posted NGS coordnates are adequate for station recovery.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 2.0 MI NE FROM CHILOQUIN. ABOUT 2.0 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG THE SPRAGUE RIVER ROAD FROM THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO. RAILROAD STATION AT CHILOQUIN, KLAMATH COUNTY, UNDER A VERY STEEP ROCK HILL, 26 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, AND IN THE TOP OF A ROCK MARKED BY THE LETTERS B.M. PAINTED ON ITS SOUTH SIDE. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED A 352 1943.
