I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1943 in good condition. The datasheet info is mostly obsolete. The Chiloquin railroad station no longer exists and neither does the original wooden witness post and the blazed pine tree. The fence line mentioned in the datasheet has been moved closer to the road, so the benchmark resides just a foot north of the fence line. This benchmark is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4264'. My posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1943 7.0 MI NE FROM CHILOQUIN. ABOUT 7.0 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG THE SPRAGUE RIVER ROAD FROM THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO. RAILROAD STATION AT CHILOQUIN, KLAMATH COUNTY, 37 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 17 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A BLAZED 16-INCH PINE TREE, 2 FEET NORTH OF A FENCE, AND 2 FEET NORTHEAST OF A WHITE WOODEN WITNESS POST. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED D 352 1943 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING ABOUT 3 INCHES ABOVE GROUND.
