I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey and State Survey benchmark from 1934 in good condition. The datasheet info is adequate for station recovery with the exception that the Chiloquin railroad station no longer exists. The original witness post needed to be propped back up again. This benchmark is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4283'. My posted coordinates should place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY OREGON GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 7.7 MI NE FROM CHILOQUIN. ABOUT 7.7 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG THE SPRAGUE RIVER ROAD FROM THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC CO. RAILROAD STATION AT CHILOQUIN, KLAMATH COUNTY, ABOUT 244 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF A ROAD LEADING SOUTH TO CRAWFORD RANCH, ON THE SUMMIT OF A SMALL RISE, 48 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE MAIN ROAD, 8 FEET SOUTH OF A FENCE, AND 2 FEET WEST OF A WHITE WOODEN WITNESS POST. A STATE SURVEY STANDARD DISK, STAMPED 4283 H 277 1934 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING ABOUT 3 INCHES ABOVE GROUND.
