Believe it or not, there is a Google Earth Blog tracking DC-3 airplanes visible on satellite images.
About this particular DC-3, the blog tells us that it saw its last action on New Years day 2000 when it was used for parachute jumps. It was then flown to Redding, CA but caught a cockpit fire on approach. It survived the fire, was flown back to Lodi and has not flown since. It belongs to the owner of the Lodi Parachute Center and is parked next to the main Parachute Center hanger.
