This sculpture is located in the not well-lighted Rare Books room on the 9th floor at the San Diego Central Library.
It depicts a female figure standing with tight garb...but her scarf or collar billows with the wind. There are two smaller figures set at her feet who are playing drums.
The work is by San Diego artist Donal Hord. It is made of rosewood and dated in 1953.
