EN: The old school of Anwil is located on the Dorfstrasse. Since it slightly protrudes and is aligned with the gable facing the street, it is immediately apparent. The half-hipped roof is topped with a relatively large ridge turret with an eight-sided helmet.

This used to be a farmhouse. Starting in 1822, it was used as a school, but not until 1830 rebuilt for this purpose in the Neo-classical style. On the ground floor, there was the apartment of the teacher and a barn, upstairs the schoolroom, which has higher window.

I could not find, until when the house was used as a school. In 1970, it was listed as a cultural heritage site.

DE: Die alte Schule von Anwil befindet sich an der Dorfstrasse. Da es etwas vorsteht und mit den Giebel zur Strasse ausgerichtet ist, fällt es sofort auf. Auf dem Krüppelwalmdach befindet sich ein relativ grosser Dachreiter mit einem achtseitigen Helm.

Das war früher ein Bauernhaus. Schon ab 1822 wurde es als Schule benutzt, aber erst 1830 zu diesem Zweck im klassizistischen Stil umgebaut. Im Erdgeschoss befand sich die Wohnung des Lehrers mit einem Ökonomieteil daneben, im Obergeschoss die Schulstube, die über höhere Fenster verfügt.

Ich konnte nicht herausfinden, bis wann das Haus als Schule benutzt wurde. 1970 wurde es unter Denkmalschutz gestellt.
