According to the Ontario marriage registration (1917 #014486), May Florence Shore (daughter of George Shore and Mary Nolan) married Maurice Brenot in Ottawa, 21 May 1917.

The text below is taken from The Ottawa Journal newspaper, 1 May 1964, page 42.

Suddenly, at his home, 2163 Hearn Street, on Thursday, April 30, 1964, Maurice O. F. Brenot, beloved husband of May Shore, father of Mrs. C. E. Faith (Evelyn), brother of Gaston Brenot, of Ottawa; Rene Brenot, of Niagara Falls, NY; George Honore Brenot and Alice Brenot, both of Ottawa. Resting Hulse and Playfair Central Chapel, 315 McLeod Street, where friends may call after 12 noon Saturday. Service Monday, 2 p.m. Interment Pinecrest cemetery.
