Colchester Town Hall clock is mounted on the tower at the south east corner of the town hall on the north side of the High Street at the junction with West Stockwell Street.

There is an identical clock face on the north, east and south faces of the tower. The face is set into a roundel formed of bricks and are made of a white, translucent material enabling the face to be back-lit at night. The hour and minute marks are pressed from a single sheet of metal with the parts held together by three concentric circles. The circles are coloured gold and the marks are coloured black. There is a geometric design within the inner circle that is also black. The hands are a basic design and are coloured black with a fine gold stripe along their centres. One of the faces is damaged (see photos).
