This Nautical Flag Pole stands prominently at the Tunnel Bay Harbour, gateway between the city of Brockville and the St Lawrence River. It is part of the Tall Ships Landing development which includes nautically themed waterfront condominiums, shopping, dining, a 27000 square foot, interactive learning and discovery centre and marina.
A plaque at the foot of the flag pole commemorates the First Port of Call of the H M S Bounty on a province-wide, Bicentennial of the War of 1812 tour. The H M S Bounty was lost to the sea in Nov. 2012 during Hurricane Sandy.
