In 1945 a glass window was installed at the east end of the north aisle of St Peter's church, Shackerstone, for a parishioner (Lt J K Richardson) who died during World War II.

"Three light stained glass window with a figure depicted in each light and the dedicatory inscription placed along the bottom. St George is depicted in the left light with the Yorkshire rose with foliage below him. St Michael is depicted in the centre light with the badge of the Fleet Air Arm below him. An unknown figure in religious robes is depicted in the right light with the badge of the Royal Navy below him. Badge of the Royal Navy is shown at the base ofare shown at the bottom of each light
