Recovered in good condition as described in the NGS datasheet with the exception that the fence described has been moved and cannot be used for station recovery. There is a metal witness post near this BM for easier recovery. This BM is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 3490'. My more accurate coordinates should place you very close to this station.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 2.5 MI NE FROM WEED. 0.2 MILE WEST ALONG ALAMO STREET FROM THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD STATION AT WEED, THENCE 2.3 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 97, 209 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE PINE TREE CAFE, 85.5 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 78.8 FEET SOUTH OF A FENCE CORNER POST, 50 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE DRIVEWAY, 5 1/2 FEET NORTH OF A 24-INCH PINE TREE, 1.2 FEET WEST OF A WIRE FENCE, 2.0 FEET NORTH OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT 2 FEET HIGHER THAN THE HIGHWAY, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.3 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. THE FENCE MENTIONED THEREIN NO LONGER EXIST. THE PINE TREE CAFE HAS BEEN ABANDONED. ADD--ACROSS THE HIGHWAY FROM A POWER SUB-STATION.
