THE STATION IS LOCATED ADJACENT TO HIGHWAY 97 IN SISKIYOU COUNTY AT POSTMILE 5.34 ABOUT 7 KM NORTHEAST OF WEED, 8 KM EAST NORTHEAST OF EDGEWOOD, AND 15 KM SOUTHEAST OF GAZELLE. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 265 AND HIGHWAY 97 IN WEED GO NORTHERLY ON HIGHWAY 97 2.06 KM TO HOY ROAD ON THE LEFT AND CALIFORNIA STREET ON THE RIGHT. CONTINUE NORTHERLY ON HIGHWAY 97 4.99 KM TO BIG SPRINGS ROAD ON THE LEFT. CONTINUE NORTHERLY ON HIGHWAY 97 1.46 KM TO THE STATION ON THE RIGHT. THE STATION IS A SURVEY DISK ENCASED IN PVC PIPE WITH ACCESS COVER SET IN CONCRETE FLUSH WITH THE GROUND 1.0 M SOUTH OF AN ORANGE CARSONITE WITNESS POST, 1.0 M WEST OF A WHITE CARSONITE POST WITH AMBER REFLECTOR, 14.0 M NORTH OF A DIRT ROAD, 27.5 M NORTH OF THE END OF A PAVED APRON, 43.5 M SOUTH OF THE YELLOW STRIPE OF HIGHWAY 97.

THIS STATION WAS OCCUPIED AS A PART OF THE CALTRANS NORTH REGION HEIGHT MODERNIZATION PROJECT.
