The beach is accessed by driving to North Bendalong where you can park & walk approx. 200 metres to the access steps. If you wish to visit the monument I'd suggest you continue following the bush track which comes out near the lagoon. The monument is located on the other side here: S35° 13.580' E150° 31.958'.
This is an unpatrolled beach on the Tasman Sea (Pacific Ocean) with no amenities so bring everything you need. There are rips at each end & one in the middle. It is a breeding ground for endangered shore birds so dogs or motorised vehicles are not allowed. Popular activities include swimming, sunbathing, walking, volleyball, fishing & bird watching.
Your likely to have the beach all to yourself in the cooler months. The co-ordinates were taken at the sign where the track to the beach starts. A large shady parking area is only a few metres away.
