Located along the Tempe Town Lake, the Tempe Center for the Arts provide public performance and gallery space to a variety of organizations. Designed by Tempe-based Architekton and award-winning Barton Myers Associates of Los Angeles, houses a state-of-the-art, 600-seat proscenium theater, a 200-seat studio theater and a 3,500 square-foot gallery.The TCA, located on the southwest end of Tempe Town Lake, resides in a beautifully appointed 17-acre lakeside art park developed by Design Workshop, a Tempe landscape architecture firm.Organizations house within the facility include Childsplay, Tempe Little Theatre, the Tempe Symphony Orchestra, the Tempe Community Chorus, A. Ludwig Dance, Desert Dance and the Tempe Wind Ensemble. A negative edge pool along the norther side of the building provides views out over the shimmering water to the Tempe Town Lake and Papago Park in the distance and to the mountains beyond.
