One of the three 19,585-pound anchors of the Arizona is displayed along the shoreline of the lagoon in front of the entrance of the visitor center. One of the other two is at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix.
The sign reads:
"USS Arizona Anchor / This anchor was recovered from the Arizona. The ship had three anchors. The crew used one in calm seas, two during foul weather, and the third as a spare. Each weighs nearly 10 tons. Notice the size of the anchors compared to the size of the Arizona."
