Cut benchmark on the north east angle, east face, of St Lawrence's church, Skellingthorpe.

"Parish Church. C13 rebuilt 1855 in Early English style by R C Hussey. Tower, 4 bay nave with north and south aisles, south porch and chancel. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Plain tile ridge roof with eastern coped gables topped with finials. Lower stages of tower include medieval masonary with clasping buttresses. Bell stage has opening on each face, 2-light with geometric tracery. Machicolations, gargoyles and battlements above. Simple 2-light windows to aisles, with plate tracery and drip hood moulds. Eastern window of 3 lancets. Gabled porch. C20 shallow pitched nave roof with rendered clerestory."
