This mark is cut into the west wall of the tower of the former Holy Trinity Church at the east end of Church Street in Maidstone.

If it was not for the presence of the bolt it would be very difficult to find any evidence of the cut mark. Looking closely, to the right of the bolt, a line can be seen (just) that could be the datum line of the CBM.
