The USS Arizona Marine Corps remembrance was created and dedicated on November 2005 at Pearl Harbor Navy Base Hawaii. The seven ton bronze monument honors all sea-going Marines, who have always been an integral part of the Department of the Navy since 10 November 1775. The seven tons are braced by rebar donated by the Navy from the USS Arizona's superstructure.

One of the monument's seven plaques reads:

"United States Marines / Pearl Harbor / Dedicated 10 November 2005 / to Lt Colonel D R Fox / and the eighty seven men of the Marine Detachment onboard the USS Arizona / 7 December 1941 at 07:55 / Born 10 July 1898 / Died 7 December 1941 / KIA aboard the USS Arizona / in defense of Pearl Harbor"

Another plaque reads:

"A salute to Lieutenant Colonel D. R. Fox / On 4 October 1918 Sergeant Danny Fox earned the French Croix de Guerre, Army Distinguished Service Cross, and the Navy Cross for heroism. / Lieutenant Colonel Fox was the most combat decorated American aboard the USS Arizona on 7 December 1941."

Lt. Colonel Daniel Russel Fox (1898 - 1941) was a ranking member of the 88 Marines and one of the 72 Marines killed in action aboard the USS Arizona on 7 Dec 1941. (visit link)

The names of the 73 Marines who were killed are listed on three plaques by alphabetical order. The names of the 15 USS Arizona Marines who survived the attack are also listed on another plaque.
