Recovered in good condition as described in the NGS datasheet with the exception that Grass Lake railroad station no longer exists and neither does milepost 369. This Southern Pacific Railroad Spike was most likely monumented in 1919, based off many previous BMs and spikes I've recovered that were monumented from that year. My more accurate coordinates should place you very close to this spike.

Per the NGS datasheet:

Unknown by SPRR (MONUMENTED)

01/01/1954 by NGS (GOOD)
DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 0.5 MI NE FROM GRASS LAKE. 0.5 MILE NORTHEAST ALONG THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT GRASS LAKE, 1/2 POLE NORTHEAST OF MILEPOST 369, AT BRIDGE 369.01, IN THE TOP OF THE SOUTHEAST END OF THE SOUTHWEST ABUTMENT, 23.4 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST RAIL OF THE MAIN TRACK, AND ABOUT 1/2 FOOT LOWER THAN THE TRACK.
