"Shelland war memorial lists only men who died in World War 1 and there were probably no casulaties for World War 2. The memorial is to be found in the parish church and takes the form of a wooden frame with a brass plaque inset. There are five names listed for World War 1 only. The plaque was unveiled by Sir Courtenay Warner 26 September 1920."
