The sign below the Rotary International sign reads:
This lookout and picnic shelter erected in 1985 replaces the original structure erected in the 1960's by the Thamesville Rotary Club. Looking a southernly direction over the Thames Rives. the new Fairfield Mission Church (erected 1848) may be seen.
