The Woodland Opera House; Also known as Hershey Opera House (1885) was the first Opera House to serve the Sacramento Valley. It was built on this site. The present structure, built in 1895-96, continues to represent an important center for the theatrical arts of that period. Erected by David N. Hershey, it has served the vast agricultural regions of the Sacramento Valley. Architect, builder, or engineer: Unknown. Architectural Style: No Style Listed.
