This dam can be viewed best from the old M26 bridge. It looks very old and maybe failing. It appears to be made from wood. Best viewed with long lens or binoculars.
This dam was built during the mining days and my guess it was used for a water supply for the Safety Fuse company. Otherwise the eagle river would not be much more than a creek.
