In Keene, within the Woodland Cemetery Northeast Division, is this marker for Gordon B. Davis, who loved all things Volkswagon.

The cemetery has entrances off Lincoln Street. It is between two entrances - nearer the more southern of the two. The marker is near the road.

The marker is made of a light grey granite material and stands about three feet tall and a few inches thick on a base about the same thickness. At the top of the side facing the drive is a VW logo, then :

"Gordon B,. Davis
Mar. 8, 1949
Nov. 30, 2013

'What a long, strange
trip it's been.'"

An obituary stated the following about him:

"Gord cherished his friends and devoted his life to all things Volkswagon. He was a master storytelller, and those who knew him well will be left with many fond memories... And a final nod to his most beloved Grateful Dead expression: 'What a long strange trip it's been'"
